Zora is part of major European heart disease prevention project
The project is executed together with European Society of Cardiology, ESC, and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, NICE, as well as cardiologists throughout the Europe.
The aim of the project is to personalize prevention of second heart attacks and improve lifestyle of heart patients. Altogether 12.000 heart disease patients will be recruited to the project. CERT-test, developed by Zora, will be used for selection of patients who are at highest risk. Patients at highest risk will be motivated into lifestyle changes and their medication will be optimized and follow-up intensified. This project is unique as the treatment doesn’t concentrate only on medical treatment. Sometimes, even better results can be achieved with lifestyle changes.
The project features a randomised clinical trial in high risk patients with coronary heart disease identified with a new set of risk markers. The trial will test a novel, personalised prevention programme designed by the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC), a branch of the ESC.
